How Tea Tree Oil Healed My Burn

Posted in Archived Articles on January 31st, 2010

Do you remember a time when you accidentally burned yourself while cooking in the kitchen? You know it happens when you lay your hand on a hot lid. This has happened to me and I am sure it has happened to you too. We know that burns in the house happen far more often than we like. Yesterday, I made a mistake and burned myself while baking a cake and the burn wasn’t a nice one. At first, I didn’t believe that I burned my hand that badly, so I didn’t rush to the kitchen sink to run cold water on the burn. Instead, I thought that I would try something that was recommended to me by a friend.

No, I didn’t go get an ice pack out of the refrigerator, which is what I normally would do. I have since found out about this amazing stuff called Tea Tree Oil and what it can do for you! I understand sometimes it is hard to try something a friend tells you about, especially when your gut feeling warns you to do what you have done in the past. Going to the cold water or getting an ice cube out of the freezer to put on the burn was the norm. It was stupid to lay my hand right on the hot burner coil, I knew it was on. Have you ever done the same thing? It is like there is a major pause between your hand and your brain. You look down at your hand, see that you are touching a hot burner and it is like time stands still as it lasts for a very long millisecond, then you remove your hand realizing what you just did.

I ran straight to the bathroom where the Tea Tree Oil bottle was at. I looked at my hand to see how bad it was, and I could tell it was beastly. I opened the bottle, put more on than I probably needed, but I wanted to make sure I got it all over the affected area on the palm of my hand. So, I kept on looking at it, wiped off the excess oil, and started to feel the burn, ouch!  The pain started to increase and the burn was stinging so badly that I was running through the house, waving my hand through the air to cool it off!  I blew on it to help comfort the pain and I was tempted to go run my hand under the cold water for relief, but I knew I would wash off the oil. Within the hour the pain had completely subsided and the burn did not blister. I was amazed!

Immediately, I knew I had to sing the praises of what this miraculous stuff called Tea Tree Oil did for me. I wondered if anyone else had heard about Tea Tree Oil and what it might be able to do for you when you needed it? I know I am grateful that Jim told me about Tea Tree Oil and the story that he shared about his wife getting burned. She also used Tea Tree Oil the week before on her burn and it worked well for her also. All I have to say is how amazed I am with the product and I would like to tell you more about this amazing antiseptic called Tea Tree Oil.
