Scott's Corner

Hi,  my name is  Scott W Kelley.

I live in Northwest Michigan,  about 30 miles south of the Mackinaw Bridge.

The Mackinaw Bridge was once the longest bridge in the world. Now it doesn’t even get an honorable mention on the History Channel’s Top 10 Bridges. It is a beautiful Bridge, crossing the straights where Lake Michigan and Lake Huron meet.

I love living up here, even with the harsh winters! But there are so many reasons for living here that make it worth the while. I moved here from Rootstown, Ohio back in 1978 and experienced one of the worst winters I have ever seen. Since, nothing has compared to that year. But snow and cold is our “natural disaster” and we are prepared for it.

I believe living up here has been one of the better choices in my life. I raised my family here and I know it was one of the best choices I made for them. I love the people up here and the kindness that flourishes. It is not uncommon to run into your neighbors and friends whereever you go. There is always somebody you know.

Life has evolved for me as it does for everyone. I think you find that out when you are given new titles through life. Grandpa was my last one and the one before that, Father-in-Law. My family relies on me and comes to me with their problems, whatever it may be. I usually can help solve it or advise. I feel my life experiences have brought me this far and my keen insights, common sense and the yearning for more knowledge to be key parts in my success so far.

I started young in the eighth grade when I wanted to go into Electronics. As a child I loved to take things apart and try to put them back together. It always intrigued me on what was on the inside that made it tick. It just fascinated me to no end and I still have that curiosity today. I like to take things down to the nitty gritty and understand them. I have also found out that my talents work on other subjects too. For some reason my troubleshooting skills can see a problem in many aspects.

Being in business for the last 15 years has also been a wonderful thing. I don’t wake up to an alarm clock. I schedule my business to My day or Hers, more Hers, and am able to do what I want when I want within my means. I believe I have value and can offer this value to others. It really doesn’t matter to me what it is that we may ever talk about because it will always be inspiring, compassionate and finding solutions. I have found a love for positive words too and how to take a negative word and turn it positive, or try to take a frown and make a smile out of it. If I can get you to laugh, I can take your mind off  whatever it is.

I believe this is the key to keeping focus and creating the good things that I desire.
