One Track Mind from Michigan’s Attorney General

Are we the Majority? Or are we the Minority?
I sometimes wonder, well, more like, I wonder more often than I would like to. How about you? Do you wonder what the heck is going on? Where did that come from? Who started that? Why is that happening?
I myself cannot understand how a state like Michigan who was ranked almost 50th poorest state no less than three years ago has a surplus of money that they want to spend on Law Enforcement. Our Attorney General has taken it upon himself to increase the cost of public safety, and why? Can someone please justify it and explain what his agenda is!
While we have all the reasons in the world to take any extra money and apply it towards education for our children and communities, I feel that putting money towards a system that does not need it is in direct violation to what really matters. Not only that I cannot understand how a Governor can deliver a message of how important it is to educate and train people to advance our state can take money and apply it to a negative that does not embrace the Good for the people.
While I understand that people who commit crimes need to be dealt with I can not see where they are doing a bad job with what they have. I understand that there are many people who have studied and went to school to have a job in Law Enforcement and they need to be placed. But I don’t think that has a leg to stand on as far as taking surplus money when other areas in our society could use that money.
In matter of fact, why do they need to spend it anyways? What about saving it for another rainy day? Here again I think we are seeing the same old thing happening. While we need to move forward in our ways of thinking it appears that the Old School thoughts are still alive and well. Do you think the State of Michigan needs more laws, more jails, more courts? Do you think that our public safety is good enough? Or do you think the opposite? That we can never have enough protection to our safety?
Each day that goes by my faith in man doing the right things is like a rollercoaster. We go Up and down as a good thing gets nulled by a bad thing. As far as our public voting record goes, we have chosen poorly as we do not know who we put in that office. I understand that when the choice is either heads or tails it shows we live in a two dimensional world of choice while we believe that we are seeing and viewing things in a three dimensional world. It seems right or wrong we live through it, but why?
To me it is like getting married, it is easy. But the divorce or separation is difficult. What if it were turned around? Where to get married or elected was a painful and scrutinizing process and the separation or recall was easy? It seems once we make an easy choice that has major effects on our lives to change it is and can be a daunting task to say the least. When choices are made for you and you have no say if you want it or not, you are, let’s saying up the river without a paddle. Don’t you wish there was a better way? Or is the way to no transparency, to choice, and do as I say or else, the best way?
As schools are being told to make cuts and deal with the fact that our education is not what it should be and there is no money to make it what we want it to be and laws are being made to make it a cookie cutter school system and laws on bullies we find that we are being lied to once again. We have the money for Law Enforcement but not the schools and our future. Is Law enforcement an investment into our future? I think not!!
